About us

Kusini Safaris is owned and run by Paul Tickner. Paul first visited Tanzania to work on an elephant project in the local communities around Ruaha National Park. It wasn't long before he decided that more people should come and visit Ruaha, not just because it was a special place, but also because it would help local communities and wildlife. Not long after, Paul took his first guests on a safari and Kusini Safaris was born. 

Today, we take our guests all over Tanzania and Africa, although Ruaha and Southern Tanzania remain close to our hearts. Safari experiences of the highest standard that exceed expectations for our guests, and work for local people, landscapes and wildlife, continues to be the cornerstone of what we do.

On the Conservation & Community page there are some links to excellent organisations and friends of ours working in Tanzania and the Ruaha area. Kusini Safaris also supports the Mkuyu Guide School.
