Investing in African Projects

Conservation and Community

For those who know me and are familiar with the Kusini Safaris story, you will know that making a positive difference to the communities and landscapes we visit on safari is the driving force behind our existence.

The Kusini Fund – Our Mission

Kusini Safaris is deeply committed to wildlife conservation and community well-being in Africa. We operate ethical safaris throughout Africa while actively supporting conservation initiatives.  Our efforts focus on empowering local communities, protecting endangered species, and promoting sustainable practices within the tourism industry.

Our Vision

Our journey began in 2013 with a vision to make a meaningful impact on local communities and wildlife conservation. It all started with our partnership with Mkuyu Guide School in Tungamalenga, a village near Ruaha National Park. This is where the Kusini Fund originated.

Despite limited resources, the school has welcomed numerous students from across Tanzania, eager to learn about Tanzania's wilderness and tourism industry. We take immense pride in our role in helping many students secure employment within the industry. Our collaboration with the school has been fundamental to our mission from the very beginning.

But our efforts extend beyond education. We firmly believe that when local communities experience the benefits and opportunities brought by conservation initiatives, the conservation goals become more achievable. As a responsible safari company, we understand the importance of supporting these communities to foster sustainable coexistence with wildlife.
