Tangulia Mara Camp is nestled atop a verdant hill overlooking the legendary Olotulo-Murt salt lick beside the Mara River. It offers a rustic and intimate tented bush camp experience as you witness the daily spectacle of wildlife gathering. The camp epitomises authentic safari and African hospitality, situated on private land between the Mara North Conservancy and Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
Derived from the Swahili word meaning "to lead," Tangulia reflects the commitment to pioneering African safari experiences. We aim to provide our guests with a private and comfortable retreat complemented by a variety of unique safari adventures that leave a lasting impression.
Conveniently located, Tangulia Mara Camp is a mere twenty-minute drive from Musiara airstrip and thirty minutes from Kichwa Tembo airstrip. Additionally, it's just a fifteen-minute drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, ensuring easy access to this iconic wildlife sanctuary.
With eight luxury tents, including one family tent, accommodating up to eighteen guests at full capacity. The camp prioritises intimacy, ensuring each guest enjoys a personalised experience. Inside our tents, handmade king-size beds and some additional single beds provide comfort and space. Positioned strategically, our tents overlook a popular salt lick frequented by wildlife, offering guests exceptional views. Many tents also feature views of the Mara River from their front porches.
Surrounded by leafy bushes, each tent enjoys a cool, private ambience. Accessible via winding paths in our unfenced camp, wildlife roams freely, creating a true safari experience. Taps with running water and hot showers are available throughout, while baths and toilets are ensuite. Guests are pampered with high-quality, hypoallergenic soaps and shampoos, ensuring a luxurious and comfortable stay throughout.
