Day 1: Arrival in Dar Es Salaam
Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR), you will be transferred comfortably to Hotel Slipway in Dar Es Salaam.
Days 2 – 7: Nyerere National Park
Spanning over 30,000 km², Nyerere National Park is rich in wildlife, including rare species like the Roan Antelope. Stay at Sand Rivers Selous, a luxurious riverfront lodge, and enjoy game drives, boat safaris on the Rufiji River, and guided walking safaris with expert guides.

Sand Rivers Selous features just 8 charming stone and thatched cottages, each open-fronted and raised on decks overlooking the river. There are 5 Riverside rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water, flush toilets, and powerful showers. Days 7 – 10: Ruaha National Park
Location and Accommodation
Fly into Ruaha National Park, one of Tanzania’s largest parks at over 20,000 km². Known as an elephant haven, it’s home to buffalo, lions, leopards, and a rich variety of birds. The Great Ruaha River supports crocodiles and hippos, and during the dry season, wildlife gathers around shrinking water sources for spectacular sightings. Stay at Ikuka Safari Camp, offering an authentic safari experience (note some lodges close during the wet season in March and April).
