How Do Our Safari Groups Work?
A question I'm often asked is: how do you put your safari groups together?
The short answer is… we don’t.
There’s often a bit of confusion here, especially with so many holidays online now built around “set departures,” where you sign up to a fixed itinerary with a group of people you’ve never met. That works very well for some travellers—but it’s not what we do.
Your Safari, Your Group
You bring the group—we design the safari around you.
Every safari we run is completely private and tailor-made. You bring the group, and we build the safari around you.
That might be just the two of you, a family travelling across generations, or a group of friends with a shared passion—photography, wildlife, or simply spending time together somewhere extraordinary. Once we understand who’s travelling and what matters to you, that’s where the real fun begins.
Because everything is bespoke, we can shape every detail around you:
- Camps and locations suited to your group
- Travel paced around your preferences
- Private vehicles and guiding throughout
- Time in the field focused on what matters most to you
That might mean choosing camps that suit different ages, minimising travel time for younger children, or ensuring that a keen wildlife enthusiast gets those extra moments in the field—waiting patiently for that leopard to descend from a tree at golden hour.

It also means private guiding and vehicles throughout.
You’re never tied to anyone else’s schedule. You can stay longer at sightings, move on when you’re ready, and enjoy a much more personal, unhurried experience in the bush.
It’s this flexibility that allows us to create something truly individual. Some guests like to be deeply involved in the planning; others prefer to leave it all to us. Either way works perfectly.
You’ll never be matched with strangers, and no two safaris are ever the same.
There are rare exceptions—very remote expeditions where small groups are necessary—but for the most part, every journey we design is built entirely around you.
