Welcome to The Kusini Fund - Empowering Communities and Wildlife Conservation!

Here at Kusini Safaris, we're committed to making a positive impact on local communities and wildlife conservation with a focus on supporting initiatives that bring tangible benefits to the people living near conservation areas.

Back in 2013 when our journey began, we partnered with Mkuyu Guide School in Tungamalenga, the last village on the road towards Ruaha National Park. This is where the Kusini Fund was born.

The local school attracts young individuals from all corners of Tanzania who are aspiring to build a career in the safari industry. Over the years, the school has welcomed numerous students, despite the limited resources, to learn more about Tanzania's bush and tourism. We take great pride in having assisted many of these students with finding employment in the industry and the collaboration with the school has been one of the cornerstones of our efforts since our inception.

The Kusini Fund doesn't stop there though. We believe that when local communities observe and witness the advantages and opportunities brought about by conservation efforts, the goals of preserving wildlife become far more tangible and achievable. As a responsible safari company, we recognise the importance of ensuring we support the development of these communities to help them coexist sustainably.

Each year, The Kusini Fund sponsors new initiatives to promote and empower the healthy relationship between communities and wildlife. We have embarked on a journey to connect the tourist business, conservation industry, local communities and institutions. We encourage philanthropy, visiting communities and supporting projects on the ground to create meaningful and lasting impacts.

If you share our vision to foster sustainable communities and protect wildlife, we welcome your donations, volunteer expertise or any other form of involvement you may desire. By working together, we can make a real difference. Thank you for joining us on this journey.
